Around five million people in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are registered for the Ehsaas program under which each family will be given Rs10,000.


Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has announced to give cash to citizens as Ramadan package.
In this regard, Minister of Food Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Zahir Shah Toro said that a plan has been designed for Ramadan.
He stated that the citizens will be given cash instead of food package and its purpose is to protect people from intimidation and disorder.
According to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Food Minister Zahir Shah Toro, the total number of families registered in the province is 8,50,000.
He added that around five million people in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are registered for the Ehsaas program under which each family will be given Rs10,000.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Food Minister also said that strict measures will be taken against those involved in price control and overselling of food and beverages during Ramadan.
