Prime Minister reconstitutes ECC again
After the joining of the Minister of Industries and Production, the number of ECC members increased from six to seven.
Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif once again reconstituted the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC).
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif made Federal Minister of Industries and Production Rana Tanveer Hussain a member of ECC. After the joining of the Minister of Industries and Production, the number of ECC members increased from six to seven. Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb will remain the chairman of the Economic Coordination Committee.
Earlier, the prime minister had appointed the finance minister as the chairman of the ECC on the reorganization. He had withdrawn the decision to head the ECC himself.
ECC members include Federal Ministers of Commerce, Power and Petroleum, while, Federal Ministers of Economic Affairs and Planning are also part of the committee members.
