Bushra Ansari releases first video with second husband

Karachi: Senior actress, host and writer Bushra Ansari released a video for the first time with her second husband playwright Iqbal Hussain.

Bushra Ansari recently released a video on her YouTube channel along with her second husband Iqbal Hussain in which she addressed her fans saying that everyone keeps asking her different questions regarding her husband and if she lives alone, therefore she decided to answer all the questions.

In this long-running video, Bushra Ansari and Iqbal Hussain said that marrying a slightly older woman is considered a crime in our society.

Bushra Ansari stated that after the divorce of her first marriage, when she was shooting for the drama serial 'Seeta Bagri', Iqbal Hussain proposed to her saying that they both live alone, why don’t they live together.

The actress added that at first, she was not willing to marry, but she took this decision after the persuasion of her friends and relatives, especially Badar Khalil, Rubina Ashraf, Behroz Sabzwari and Sultana Siddiqui.

She continued to say that they both want their marriage to be an example that even after divorce at the age of 30 or 35 you can remarry if you have an option.

‘Especially women who are left alone for some reason and have an option of second marriage, they can think about the decision of second marriage. Many children arrange second marriages for their fathers, but cannot accept their mother's second marriage,’ added Ansari.

During the conversation, the actress further said that Iqbal Hussain is younger than her, but she did not clarify the difference in age between the two. Bushra Ansari said that she was inspired by Iqbal Hussain's thinking and style, he is more mature than his age.

Meanwhile, Iqbal stated that marrying an old woman is criticized in our society but this should not be the case, people who think that marrying older women is bad are actually suffering from psychological problems.

He also added that he likes to sit and talk and make friends with people older than him.

It is pertinent to note that for the first time during an interview in May 2023, Bushra Ansari admitted her second marriage, but she did not clarify when her second marriage took place.

The news of Bushra Ansari's second marriage with playwright Iqbal Hussain first surfaced in November 2019 and at that time Iqbal Hussain denied the news of his second marriage with the actress.

After that, though, Bushra Ansari admitted to divorce her first husband.

Bushra Ansari first opened up about her divorce in an interview in January 2020 saying that it had been a long time since she got divorced.

After that, she told in another interview in December 2020 that she wanted to get a divorce after some time of marriage, but because of the children, she was patient for 36 years and got divorced after the children had children.

In both the interviews, she did not mention the year of divorce, however, she said that she got divorced due to lack of mental harmony with her husband.
