KP CM terms new Governor's Oath-taking ceremony as waste of time
Gandapur, addressing the issue of the recently appointed governor, remarks that the government formed through Form 47 and its appointed governor hold no significance to him.
Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur on Sunday expressed indifference towards the oath-taking ceremony of the new KP governor, citing it as inconsequential and a “waste of time”.
Gandapur, addressing the issue of the recently appointed governor, remarked that the government formed through Form 47 and its appointed governor hold no significance to him.
He noted his consistent absence from such ceremonies, emphasizing the controversy surrounding Form 47, which has been a subject of dispute since the February 8 elections.
Faisal Karim Kundi, the newly appointed governor, mentioned that the provincial cabinet and chief minister were invited to the event, attributing Gandapur's absence to his busy schedule.
Kundi's appointment is part of a coalition agreement between the PPP and PML-N following the inconclusive results of the February elections.
