West Bank: Around 800 extremists Israelis protected by Israeli police entered the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound and stormed the grounds of the holy mosque on Wednesday.
The incursion precedes the contentious “Flag March” scheduled in occupied Jerusalem, according to Al Jazeera. One of the groups was allegedly led by former lawmaker Moshe Feiglin.
In separate news, Reuters states that the Gaza health ministry disclosed a grim toll from Israeli military operations in Gaza. Since October 7, more than 36,586 Palestinians have lost their lives, with 83,074 sustaining injuries. Within the past 24 hours alone, at least 36 fatalities were recorded.
