NEPRA hikes power tariff by Rs10.1 for K-Electric
Electricity for Karachi has been increased by Rs10.1 per unit due to monthly fuel adjustment
Islamabad: The government also dropped electric bombs on the residents of Karachi and increased the power tariff.
The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has issued a notification to increase the price of electricity for K-electric consumers.
According to the notification issued by NEPRA, electricity for Karachi has been increased by Rs10.1 per unit due to monthly fuel adjustment.
The notification said that an additional Rs2.68 in June and Rs3.11 in July per unit will be charged. Similarly in Rs3.22 in August per unit and Rs1 per unit in September will be charged.
NEPRA’s notification further states that the hike will not be applicable at K-Electric's Lifeline and Electric Vehicle Charging Stations.
