Party leaders allege this is an attempt to install judges who share similar ideology

Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Thursday objected to the appointment of ad hoc judges in the Supreme Court (SC), labeling it as a dishonest maneuver.
During a press conference in Islamabad, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar criticized the decision to appoint four judges during a holiday period, warning against politicizing judicial appointments. He emphasized that PTI has referred the matter to the Supreme Judicial Council to prevent what he described as an attempt to install judges who share similar ideologies.
PTI leader Omar Ayub condemned what he called the fabrication of cases against PTI National Assembly members, including Imran Khan, as baseless accusations aimed at damaging their reputation. He also protested against the re-arrest of Bushra Bibi by the NAB team on what he termed false charges, urging Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa not to assign PTI's cases to ad hoc judges.
PTI's General Secretary asserted, "Our patriotism cannot be questioned," while Senator Shibli Faraz criticized the deterioration of the country's affairs and systems over the past two years. He expressed concern over the ruling elite's disconnect with public opinion and warned against any efforts to restrict the party.
Echoing these concerns, PTI leader Asad Qaiser lamented the prevailing disorder in Pakistan, highlighting unchecked coercion and extortion in what he described as a lawless land.
