One cop martyred, two hurt in shooting at Mardan police post
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi condemned attack & paid tribute to martyred police constable Umar Nabi
Mardan: One policeman was martyred and two injured in the firing at the police post in Mardan.
According to the police, a firing incident took place at a police post in Takhtbhai Archeology Tehsil of Mardan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
As a result of shooting by miscreants, one policeman Umar Nabi was martyred while two constables Muhammad Fayaz and Shabbir were seriously injured.
According to the rescue officials, martyred constable Umar Nabi belongs to Kondkhor area. The dead body and the injured personnel have been shifted to Mardan Medical Complex (MMC).
On the other hand, a heavy police force reached the spot and surrounded the area and started a search operation.
Condemnation of attack
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi condemned the terrorist attack on police post in Takhtbhai area of Mardan and paid tribute to martyred police constable Umar Nabi.
Mohsin Naqvi expressed his heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the family of martyred constable Umar and prayed for the speedy recovery of the two constables who were injured.
The interior minister said that the martyred constable Umar Nabi achieved the highest level of martyrdom in the performance of his duties. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police has written history of bravery by showing courage in the war against terrorism.
