Saba Qamar appointed child welfare ambassador of UNICEF Pakistan
For the first time, UNICEF has appointed a National Ambassador for Child Welfare in Pakistan


Lahore: The United Nations (UN) child welfare organization UNICEF appointed actress Saba Qamar as the country's first national children's ambassador.
Saba Qamar turned to Instagram and thanked the international organization by reiterating his determination to continue working for the welfare of children through the platform of UNICEF.
She shared pictures of her time spent with the kids and wrote that she met some powerful and very beautiful people.

For the first time, UNICEF has appointed a National Ambassador for Child Welfare in Pakistan.
As the National Child Ambassador, Saba Qamar will bring forward the issues of children under UNICEF in various platforms at the national and international levels.
Saba Qamar will specifically address important and serious issues such as violence against children, sexual harassment, mental health, and child marriage.
Pakistan has the sixth highest rate of girls child marriage in the world and 500,000 girls give birth to first child before the age of 18.
Saba Qamar has been raising her voice against violence and exploitation of children and women through her social media posts and acting.
