PIA Islamabad offices to be closed for three days
PIA offices will remain closed in view of SCO Conference
Karachi: It has been decided to keep the offices of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) in Islamabad closed for three days.
In the circular issued by PIA, it is stated that the offices in Islamabad will remain closed from October 14 to 16.
According to the circular, the offices of PIA will remain closed in view of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Conference.
The PIA circular stated that PIA employees working in shifts at the airport will continue to work.
It is pertinent to note that the SCO Summit is being held in Islamabad on October 15 and 16, in which heads of various countries will participate.
Ahead of the SCO meeting, Section 144 is in force in Rawalpindi and Islamabad from October 12 to 17, under which any kind of meeting and protest will be banned. The administration has closed educational institutions, restaurants, hostels and cafes in the twin cities.
