Donald Bloom added: “We created employment opportunities that improved quality of life of people”


Islamabad: US Ambassador to Pakistan Donald Bloom says that during the past three years, we have worked together to face major challenges.
US Ambassador Bloom said in his farewell message that during his appointment as ambassador, he worked with Pakistani friends and entered a new chapter of partnership.
The US Ambassador stated that the challenges include Corona, the devastating floods of 2022, and aiding in the rehabilitation of millions of people.
Donald Bloom added: “We created employment opportunities that improved the quality of life of people”.
He further said that from gossip over tea and demonstrations of the art of Qawwali to playing cricket, all were enjoyable and proud experiences.
Donald Bloom said that as US Ambassador, he received hospitality from every corner of Pakistan. He observed in Lahore how culture and tradition have flourished in this historic city while he walked with farmers in the fertile plains of Punjab.
The US Ambassador added that they have brought innovation to Pakistan’s energy, water resources, and agriculture sectors with the best technology from America.
He also stated that he met with the smartest people in Pakistan whose determination and creativity continue to impress him.
Donald Bloom added that as his time in Pakistan was coming to an end, he wanted to visit Karachi, the city of lights. Karachi is a city of entrepreneurs and business leaders who are driving the economic future of this country.
He also said that Pakistan is working towards freedom from debt and dependency. ‘We have also made increasing trade and investment our top priority and together we can create a hopeful and prosperous future’.
