Snapchat: 'Friend Check Up' reminds users to clean out their friend list
American multimedia messaging app, Snapchat is introducing a new feature that will remind users to remove unwanted connections from their contact list. The feature, called “Friend Check Up”.

The 'Friend Check Up' feature will encourage users to trim their friends list in the app with a notification that says “Snapchat is for Real Friends.”
This feature could help make the platform safer for users.
On Snapchat, having someone friended could give him/her access to story and even location, depending on Snap Map settings, so the app wants to make sure that everyone on users friends list is still someone they actually want to call a friend.
The feature will be rolling out globally on Android in the coming weeks and to iOS devices in the coming months.
The reminder will show up as a notification on user's profile screen.
