'28th in row': Magnitude of 2.1 tremor rocks Karachi

Karachi: Karachi experienced 28th earthquake tremor on Thursday, measuring 2.1 magnitude at Richter scale. Tremors have been continuously felt in Karachi’s Malir area for several days, with today marking the 28th tremor.

The National Seismic Center recorded today’s tremor at a magnitude of 2.1, with its epicenter located five kilometers deep in southern Malir.

It is worth noting that since Sunday, multiple tremors have been felt in Malir, with the highest magnitude recorded at 3.6.

According to Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfaraz Khan, mild tremors may continue to be felt in the city over the next two to three days.

However, the intensity of these tremors is expected to gradually decrease, and the overall situation appears to be improving, he adds.
