Turkish president says Iran has a legal right to self-defense and urges the world not to ignore Israel’s violations

(Web Desk): Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, addressing members of his party in parliament, stated that Iran has the legal, legitimate, and natural right to self-defense. He strongly condemned the Israeli strike on Iran, calling it an act of terrorism carried out even before the conclusion of negotiations.
President Erdoğan harshly criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, saying, “Netanyahu has long surpassed Hitler in his atrocities.” He held Israel responsible for state terrorism and said Iran’s resistance was, in fact, a rightful act of defending its sovereignty.
He further added, “Iran was targeted by Israeli aggression during ongoing nuclear negotiations, which is a blatant violation of international law. Israel itself possesses nuclear weapons and disregards global norms. In such circumstances, launching an attack on Iran before the negotiations were concluded is unacceptable and constitutes terrorism.”
President Erdoğan reaffirmed that Iran's right to defend itself is enshrined in international law and that the global community must not overlook Israel's violations.
