Minister Hammad suspends FESCO chief over prolonged power outages in Eid days
Islamabad: The Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) chief has been suspended for failing to manage power outages as major power breakdown lashed the Faisalabad region in the last 36 hours or so.
Federal Minister for Energy Hammad Azhar Thursday said as per the recommendation of Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) board of directors, the FESCO chief executive officer (CEO) has been suspended as he failed to manage the power outages in the Faisalabad region due to rains on Eidul Azha day.
As per recommendation of FESCO board of directors, the CEO of FESCO has been suspended due to the failure to manage the power outages in the Faisalabad region due to rains on Eid day.

A seperate inquiry will be held also.
An acting CEO of FESCO will be appointed tomorrow.
