Helicopter crashed due to technical fault while attempting to land


Rawalpindi: A Pakistan Army helicopter crashed near Hadour village in Gilgit-Baltistan.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the helicopter crashed around 10:00am today when the helicopter was on a routine training flight.
The ISPR said that 5 personnel, including 2 majors, were martyred in the accident, including Major Atif, Major Faisal, Flight Engineer Naib Subedar Maqbool, Crew Chief Havaldar Jahangir, and Crew Chief Naik Amir.
The ISPR stated that training missions are part of the routine activities of Army Aviation, while the helicopter crash occurred due to a technical fault.
On the other hand, the Prime Minister expressed grief over the crash of the Army Aviation training helicopter in Gilgit and prayed for the highest ranks of the martyrs, including Major Atif, Major Faisal, and other martyrs.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his condolences to the families of the martyrs and prayed for their patience.
