CTD guns down three alleged militants in Lahore
Lahore: The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) Sunday gunned down three alleged militants during a raid on their hideout in Lahore's Ferozewala area.
Pakistani counterterrorism police said they killed three militants in a face on face gun-battle early Sunday.
The CTD spokesperson said, “The militants were staying at a rented house in Ferozewala where they were planning attacks on intelligence agencies and other law enforcement personnel”.
The suspects also planned to target important persons, added the CTD.
The spokesperson further revealed particulars of operation saying, “All three terrorists hailed from Afghanistan, said the CTD and officers conducted the operation on the basis of intelligence”.
However, tipped by intelligence, the CTD performed the raid on their residence, after seeing the CTD personnel, the militants opened fire.
He stated that retaliatory hearth from the CTD killed three militants.
The cops recovered suicide vest, three hand grenades and two Kalashnikov rifles from their possession.
