Zohaib Hassan alleges Nazia’s husband ‘fed her something harmful’ and ‘mistreated her’
Now her brother and music partner, Zohaib Hassan, has come forward with serious allegations against her husband Ishtiaq Baig. The allegations include arsenic poisoning and illegally detaining Nazia.
In an exclusive interview with SAMAA TV, Zohaib said that Baig was poisoning Nazia and this caused her cancer.
Zohaib Hassan, the brother of the late, beloved Pakistani pop singer Nazia Hassan, has leveled some serious allegations against her husband Ishtiaq Baig.
While exclusively talking to GNN, Zohaib Hassan said that Nazia herself had said in a statement recorded under oath in London that her then husband, Ishtiaq Baig, had fed her something harmful and treated her badly.
Zohaib further said that Nazia had clearly written that she wanted a divorce.
“Marrying her off to Baig was our biggest mistake,” he added.
On the other hand, Ishtiaq Baig while completley denying the allegations announced he will sue Zohaib Hassan for Rs1 billion for defamation.
He said that this is a plan framed by Nazia’s family to take over her property in London.
“She was the love of my life and we married despite her being diagnosed with cancer. I still love her,” said Baig while speaking to local media.
