Covid vaccination centers to remain closed on 10th Moharram
Islamabad: The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) has announced that the vaccination centers will remain closed on 10th of Moharram.
According to details, a meeting of NCOC chaired by Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Asad Umar was held today in Islamabad.
In the meeting, it was decided to continue vaccination drive during the first day of Ahsura i.e. 9th Moharram; however, the vaccine drive will remain suspended on the second day of Ashura (10th Moharram.
The forum emphasized on the need to ensure implementation of instructions and safety protocols already issued.
Pakistan is presently experiencing the fourth wave of coronavirus amid threat of highly contagious Indian delta variant.
According to National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), around 3,221 cases of coronavirus were reported while 95 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 24,573.
The total number of confirmed cases reached to 1,105,300.
As many as 993,304 patients have recovered from the disease with 4,896 critical cases.
