Lahore: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said Punjab is delivering better results in education sector as compared to other provinces.


Addressing the gathering at the Punjab Education Convention, he said what Punjab is delivering for its citizens than other provinces.
"The Buzdar-led Punjab government delivered practical results which other provinces couldn't." According to the prime minister, Chief Minister Usman Buzdar didn't like to be noticed for good actions.
He said the previous governments didn't focus on promotion of education and building dams for water needs. "The past government always delivered less, but propagated more to show their performance."
The premier said two dams were built in the tenure of military dictators, but successive governments in their tenures only focused on upcoming elections.
Imran Khan said in the past single education system was never planned for Pakistan, adding "we have to replace British-led education system that divided the nation". He went on say that the single education curriculum was the biggest achievement of the PTI government.
"Side by side technology we need to educate and train our kids." PM Imran stressed on educating the country's youth in line with Islamic teachings.
Regarding female harassment incident at Minar-e-Pakistan, the premier said he felt ashamed and pained over this incident, saying he never imagined such incident would happen in Pakistan.
"The sexual harassment cases are on the rise and the major factor behind this is lack of training to our children." The PM urged parents to train their children on moral grounds.
"To curb such incidents there is only one way. Children must be taught about the life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)."
The prime minister said people read about successful people to learn of the secrets of their success and no one in history is as successful as Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). "Which is why we have been told in the Holy Quran to learn from his life."
He said Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and former president of the South African Republic Nelson Mandela were regarded as honest and trustworthy even by their rivals.
"So these qualities, which made him so great, should be taught to our children in schools," he added.
