Katrina Kaif, Vicky's wedding telecast rights sold to Amazon Prime for 80 crore
The highly anticipated Bollywood wedding will be streamed on OTT in early 2022
Mumbai: Bollywood lovebirds Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif, who are keeping their Rajasthan wedding under wraps, have officially sold the telecast rights to streaming giant Amazon Prime for a staggering amount of INR 800 million.
According to Indian media, the couple has seal a deal with Amazon Prime for 80 crore Indian rupees. The streaming giant will cover their journey from being friends to lovers to their engagement and then finally showcase the four-day gala celebration in Rajasthan.
Vicky and Katrina's wedding video will reportedly premiere on the digital platform in early 2022.
A Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDAs) was also signed by the guests, to prevent leakage of any footage of their wedding ceremony before it is streamed on Amazon. The couple also kept a no-mobile-phone policy for the guests throughout the ceremonies.
On December 6, Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal warmly welcomed their guests at Fort Barwara in Sawai Madhopur with a special note.
“We request you to please leave your mobile phones in your respective rooms and refrain from posting pictures or using social media for any of the ceremonies and events.”
The bride and groom have also got secret codes in place for their 120 guests.
This is not the first time, a celebrity wedding telecast has been sold. Reportedly back in 2019, Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas had also struck a deal with an OTT giant to document their wedding for a series.
