"it is a ‘political battle’ against the opposition parties."

Islamabad: Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed on Saturday stressed that immediate elections were needed of the hour, adding that the confrontation between the ruling PTI and the opposition parties was no more confined to the corridors of power.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, he said he wanted to bring this thing to the notice of the ‘establishment’ that things were now getting out of control and the confrontation between the ruling PTI and the opposition parties was no more confined to the corridors of power.
“Another way out of the present political crisis is that PTI MNAs resign from their seats,” he suggested.
The minister demanded the registration of ‘treason’ cases against the political leaders, who are part of the plot. “If Federal Minister Fawad Chaudhry writes down an application for the registration of cases against these politicians, I will be the first to sign it,” Rasheed announced.
He also demanded a ban on the political parties whose no-confidence motion against the government was funded from abroad.
Sheikh Rasheed announced that it is a ‘political battle’ against the opposition parties.
The minister said that through fair and transparent elections, the people should get an opportunity to reject those who had looted the national kitty. He said, “The conscience sellers have got united to topple the government of Prime Minister Imran Khan so that they can continue their looting agenda.”
The interior minister was of the view that under article 94 of the constitution, Prime Minister Imran Khan would remain in office until and unless a new leader of the House was elected in the event of passage of a no-trust motion in the National Assembly.
