Islamabad: The joint session of Parliament will be held at Parliament House at 3:00pm today (Thursday).
According to details, a unanimous resolution is likely to be passed against the desecration of the Holy Quran in Sweden in the joint session of the Parliament, while the Holy Quran Day will be celebrated across the country tomorrow (Friday).
There was also a meeting of the Executive Committee of Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on the incident of desecration of Holy Quran in Sweden, in which Secretary General Hussain Ibrahim Taha emphasized that all Islamic countries should stop the incidents of desecration of Holy Quran and Prophet of Islam. He urged collective and concrete measures to prevent it.
On the other hand, the spiritual leader of the Catholic Christians, Pope Francis, in an interview with the Emirates newspaper, called the desecration of Holy Quran in Sweden an unacceptable blasphemous act, saying that the blasphemous act is less to be condemned.
