Petroleum Dealers Association announces nationwide strike
The association demands an increase in profit margins from the government.
Karachi: The Petroleum Dealers Association (PDA) has declared a nationwide strike this week in support of their demands.
PDA Chairman, Abdul Sami Khan, stated that they have requested the government to raise the profit margin or commission by 5%.
However, the government is currently offering only a 2.4% profit margin, equivalent to Rs. 6 per liter.
The PDA argues that low-profit margins are causing losses for petrol pumps with lower sales, leading many to shut down.
