Elderly and sick people have been instructed to stay at home to avoid the heat.

Tehran: A two-day public holiday has been announced due to the extreme heat in Iran.
According to foreign media, the northern regions of Iran are under the grip of unusual heat these days due to which hospitals have been put on high alert.
Iranian authorities said that there will be a public holiday across the country on Wednesday and Thursday. Banks, schools and government offices will remain closed due to the extreme heat.
According to reports, the temperature reached 51 degrees in the Iranian city of Ahvaz this week, and the temperature is expected to reach 39 degrees in Tehran on Wednesday.
Elderly and sick people have been instructed to stay at home to avoid the heat.
It should be noted that the effects of climate change are being seen in different parts of the world. Heat waves in Europe, US and Asia, forest fires in Canada and Greece, and events such as record sea water temperature in Florida are the effects of climate change.
The record rise in temperature is being attributed to an increase in the average global sea level temperature.
World Meteorological Organization (WMO) Secretary-General Prof. Petteri Taalas said such extreme weather conditions affecting millions of people is an unfortunate reality of climate change and a foreboding of the future.
An analysis by scientists in the past few days revealed that the record intensity of heat waves in different regions of the world is the result of climate change.
According to scientists, heat waves will prove to be more deadly due to the increase in temperature, which is already causing thousands of deaths.
In 2022, more than 61,000 deaths were caused by the increase in temperature in Europe alone.
