The PPP chairman says the 16-month government was difficult and challenging but they are ready for the upcoming elections

Peshawar: Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that 16-month government was tough but they were ready to contest the upcoming elections.
“We want to save the public from the tsunami of inflation,” said Bilawal Bhutto Zardari while addressing a party convention in Peshawar on Saturday.
He complained that there had never been level playing field ever in any past election.
“We are ready for elections and we will not become party of any other part. And the arrow will win,” said Bilawal Bhutto. He said that they were not enjoying the politics as the situation was quite different time.
He stated that the people were fed up of the old politicians and the old traditional politics, urging the people to sit in the mosque and pray for the sake of the country.
The PPP chairman said that it is better to pave the way for the young generation rather than supporting an individual for the prime minister office for the fourth time, vowing to introduce a new form of politics.
“We want to end this politics of division and we will introduce a modern day politics in the country. We want to introduce such policies which could provide relief to the public,” said the PPP chairman. He urged the KP people to end the differences among themselves during the next few months.
“If you forget your differences nobody can stop you from winning the elections,” said Bilawal, making a promise that there would be no need of any alliance if the people, with their struggle, sincerely worked for the PPP.
He said that they would establish women wing this time.
“The PPP has a different time and opportunity this year as compared to the previous elections,” said Bilawal, pointing out that the hard work and struggle could ensure the victory for them.
For this struggle, he said, he needed the support of the people.
“I just want to serve the people of Pakistan,” he added.
