COAS highlighted Pakistan's perspective on regional security, international terrorism and the importance of maintaining strategic stability in South Asia.


New York: Chie of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir said that Pakistan does not believe in block politics and wants balanced relations with all friendly countries.
According to the details, Army Chief Asim Munir held a special meeting with prominent US think tanks and media during his visit to America.
COAS highlighted Pakistan's perspective on regional security, international terrorism and the importance of maintaining strategic stability in South Asia in a special interaction with prominent US think tanks and members of the media.
The Army Chief stressed the need to resolve the Kashmir issue in accordance with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people and the United Nations resolutions, saying that Kashmir is an internationally recognized conflict and any unilateral action against the aspirations of the Kashmiri people cannot change the nature of the dispute.
He also stressed the urgent need for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, humanitarian aid and the implementation of a two-state solution for lasting peace in the region.
Asim Munir said: “Pakistan has been fighting against international terrorism for decades to ensure regional stability and global peace and security. Pakistan has rendered unparalleled services and sacrifices in the war against terrorism and with the full support of the people of Pakistan, this war will continue till the end of the last terrorist”.
The Army Chief stated that Pakistan is one of the most important countries from both geopolitical and geo-economic points of view and wants to play an important role in building strong relations with other countries in Central Asia.
Pakistan does not believe in block politics and believes in maintaining balanced relations with all friendly countries, added Asim.
Army Chief also highlighted that Pakistan is keen to expand its strong ties with the US through long-term bilateral relations.
