Live hearings of cases will bring more transparency to justice system: CJP Isa
Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faez Isa says the justice should not only be done but should also be seen to be done.

Islamabad: Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faez Isa on Saturday said that the live hearings of cases would bring more transparency to the justice system and would ensure justice for the general public.
The CJP Isa mentioned that upon becoming the Chief Justice, it became apparent that he is also the chairman of the Federal Judicial Academy, and all key figures are part of the board.
The Federal Judicial Academy is working under a robust board.
The CJP said that the training is being provided at various stages in the academy, and Justice Mansoor Ali Shah has made fundamental changes after his appointment.
CJ Isa expressed satisfaction at the use of new technology in the academy, adding that there are good wishes for the success of the academy.
He highlighted that the academy brought the judges from various regions and provinces together. Trained judges share their experiences with each other, and access to the Chief Justices is the first point of contact for applicants.
Trained judges would reduce pressure on the higher judiciary.
CJP Isa emphasized the importance of restoring confidence in the general public that the justice is being served. He noted that direct case hearings bring more transparency to the justice system, and technology allows for savings in resources during hearings.
He mentioned that the country currently has 3,200 judges handling important responsibilities. Despite differences of opinion, it is necessary to maintain literature and respect.
The chief justice further said that the justice should not only be done but should also be seen to be done.
“All stakeholders should be treated equally,” he added.
