New York: United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Thursday advised Pakistani politicians to remain calm and not lose patience during the counting of votes.

In his email sent to the official news agency, the head of the United Nations stated that they are closely monitoring the elections in Pakistan and are hopeful for the strengthening of democracy in the country.
Guterres advised all political leaders to remain calm during the counting of votes and until the final announcement. He emphasized on urging their workers to exercise patience and avoid any action that promotes violence.
