Punjab govt dissolves Local Government Ordinance of 2013

Lahore: The Punjab government has dissolved the Local Government Ordinance of 2013. 

According to the details, the government notified the Punjab Local Government Ordinance 2021. 

The Punjab government dissolved the ordinance of 2013 and notified the ordinance of 2021.

It was reported that 46 local government administrators have been appointed across the province. Municipal committees, town committees and municipal corporations have been abolished, while the deputy commissioner will take charge as the administrator of the metropolitan corporation.

It was also reported that the responsibilities of 26 departments including LDA, PHA will be given to mayors after local body elections.
