Asif Zardari offers Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi Punjab CMship, reveals Imran Yaqub Khan
Lahore: Former President and PPP leader Asif Ali Zardari had contacted Punjab Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi and offered him Punjab CMship in return to support Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) in its mission to topple the incumbent Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government.

Talking in GNN programme ‘View Point’ Senior Journalist Imran Yaqub Khan said that according to his well-established sources, in bid to end the PTI government, former president had contacted the Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi and offered him Punjab CMship.
In reply, the Punjab Assembly speaker responded in negative by saying that in current circumstances Pakistan Muslim League Quaid e Azam (PML-Q) cannot leave PTI and PM Imran Khan alone as ‘they are strong ally of the government.’
Further, Mr Elahi suggested Asif Ali Zardari to lobby with Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) for executing any idea of upsetting the government.
After this revelation, it is evident that Mr Zardari is also trying to establish contacts with government’s associates, added Mr Imran Yaqub Khan.
