Decision to summon PA session comes after ECP's decision on dissident MPAs.

Lahore: In a surprise move ahead of the previous date fixed for the extraordinary session, Punjab Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi has convened a session of the provincial assembly today.
According to the details, the extraordinary session of the Punjab Assembly will be held at 12:30 pm.
Firstly, the session was scheduled to be called on May 30, however, the date of the Punjab Assembly session has been changed.
Earlier today, The Lahore police took over the control of the Punjab Assembly, hours before the start of a key session.
According to details, Police also arrested Director-General Parliamentary Affairs Rai Mumtaz while raiding the houses of Punjab Assembly officers.
The Punjab Assembly spokesman alleged that the police climbed over the walls and entered the house of the officers.
Punjab Assembly spokesperson claimed the police also raided the houses of Secretary Muhammad Khan Bhatti and Secretary Coordination Inayatullah Lak but failed to arrest them.
