Mass shootings rock US again; leaves two dead at church, two injured at cemetery

Ames: A day after the shooting at a medical centre in Oklahoma, and a week after the deadly Texas school carnage, an armed man shot two females to death and then apparently killed himself Thursday night outside a church in the midwestern US state of Iowa.
According to details, the man killed the two females outside the Cornerstone Church—a megachurch on the outskirts of Ames.
The church is near Interstate 35, about 30 miles (48.28 kilometers) north of Des Moines.
The suspected shooter appeared to have died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, said authorities. The ages of the two women were not immediately known.
In the other incident, two people were shot at a cemetery south of Milwaukee on Thursday, police said.
The authorities described the shooting as a “critical” incident and urged people to stay away.
Police said multiple shots were fired in the direction of a funeral service Thursday afternoon. It was not immediately known if any suspects were in custody.
Racine Mayor Cory Mason released a statement saying the “heinous shooting at a cemetery while a family was already mourning the loss of a loved one is a new low for these perpetrators of violence in our community. The violence has got to stop!”
Mason said he was instructing the police department to actively enforce the city’s juvenile curfew ordinance through the weekend, meaning anyone under 18 must be home by 11 p.m.
The officials, however, are investigating the shooting, asking people to avoid the area in west Racine around the cemetery.
