Rs800,000 relief package announced for flood-hit families
Financial compensation for families of flood victims
Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Chudhary Pervaiz Elahi Monday announced financial assistance of RS800,000 for family of each deceased in flood-hit areas of Rajanpur, Muzaffargarh, Muzaffargarh and Mianwali.
The Chief Minister stated this while chairing a meeting in provincial capital.
The meeting reviewed the relief activities in flood hit areas.
Addressing the meeting, Elahi directed all relevant departments to speed up relief activities in integrated manner.
He also directed elected representatives, Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners to monitor relief activities and present the report. He also directed to help the affectees after the estimation of loss of cattle, crops and houses.
Pervaiz Elahi also ordered to establish medical camps in flood-hit areas and vaccinate the people of contiguous diseases.
