Pak Army stands with flood-affected people: Army Chief
"Rains, floods have destroyed civil life and communication structure"
Quetta: Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa has directed his men to fully cooperate with the Balochistan government in its rescue, relief, and rehabilitation efforts in the rain/flood-ravaged province.
The Army Chief was discussing the flood situation in the province with the Balochistan Corps Commander and directed the Army men to extend full cooperation to the civil administration on war-footing in its relief efforts.
He said that the recent extraordinary heavy rains have paralyzed the civil life and communication structure in the province. He ordered to utilize of army resources to provide immediate help to the affected people and for the restoration of important communication infrastructure.
Gen Bajwa said that in this hour of trial, the Pak Army was standing with the affected people adding that the Army was performing relief efforts considering it a national duty.
