Llukalkan Aliocranianus: 85-million-year-old carnivorous dinosaur discovered in Argentine
Patagonia: A team of paleontologists in Argentina have discovered a well-preserved skull of a meat-eating dinosaur that roamed northern Patagonia about 85 million years ago.

As per details, the dinosaur has short snout, keen hearing and stout bite strength which made it a daunting predator. The beast has been given the name Llukalkan Aliocranianus meaning ‘One who causes fear’ in the local Mapuche language.
As per scientists analysis, the short skull had rough bones, so in life it probably had lumps and ridges on its skull, and a remarkable sense of hearing.
“The horned Llukalkan Aliocranianus was around 5 metres (16 feet) long, two-legged with very short arms and medium-sized compared to the giant T. rex,” said paleontologists.
A series of important dinosaur discoveries have been made in Argentina in recent decades as in 2014 the remains of a dinosaur that weighed around the same as 14 elephants were found.
The finding was thought to be the biggest ever discovered.
The findings from were published on Tuesday.
The recent finding is believed to be a member of Abelisauridae, a family of big predators known from the ancient supercontinent Gondwana.
