The winner of a Sri Lankan beauty pageant ‘Mrs Srilanka’ has suffered head injuries after a brawl broke out on stage.

According to details, the title of "Mrs Sri Lanka" was awarded to Mrs. Pushpika De Silva at a ceremony on national TV on Sunday.
Few moments later, 2019 winner of beauty pageant Mrs. Caroline Jurie seized Silva's crown, claiming she could not be declared the winner as she was a divorcee.
"There is a rule that prevents women who have already been married and are divorced, so I am taking steps to make the crown go to second place," Mrs Jurie told the audience.
She then placed the crown on the runner-up, resulting in a brawl and a tearful Mrs De Silva walking off stage, a video of the incident showed.
Later on, the organizers confirmed that Mrs De Silva was not a divorcee and returned her the crown.
The organizers have apologized to Mrs De Silva, who says she is separated, but not divorced and suffered head injuries after the crown was seized from her.
