Asad Shamim to promote football in UAE, UK
The 57 years old independent consultant says he is honoured and humble to accept the responsibility and excited to begin working with IFA7 in the UAE and the UK.
Lahore: IFA7, the world football 7 governing body, announced the appointment of Mohammad Asad Shamim as Vice President for the United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom.
The 51-year-old is tasked with overseeing the development of the UAE and the UK to expand and strengthen the development of Football 7 in those countries.
“We are delighted to have Asad Shamim joining IFA7 team,” said IFA7 President Daniel Balcorta. “Asad has a prominent background in business, and is a visionary. I have no doubt that Asad will do excellent work for us, and we welcome him to our team.”

Asad Shamim is the CEO of one of the largest online furniture stores in the UK, Furniture in Fashion. Mr Shamim also owns an independent consultancy service and has always had a keen interest in sport, particularly football and boxing, being an avid fan of both. He was responsible for the UK’s first diabetic boxer obtaining his professional boxing licence in 2018. He has established and maintained strong links with the Anthony Joshua Boxing Management team and wishes to utilize his knowledge and experience in the world of sport to take IFA7 from strength to strength.
