Islamabad: Speaking on the occasion of appearing in Supreme Court, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan said: “Media is here, I want to convey a message. I was arrested, how did I become responsible for the violent protests”?

He stated that he never talked about chaos, he only wants elections in the country.

“I am telling everyone not to damage government and public property,” Imran added.

PTI chief continued that my mobile phone was taken, I don't know what happened in the country.

“We do not want any harm or chaos in the country, we just want elections,” Khan clearly stated.

Imran Khan instructed the workers to remain calm and told the court that sometimes they took him to the police line and sometimes they took him somewhere else.

He added, I did not understand what happened, I had responded to National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) notice, I want free elections in the country.

It is pertinent to note that on May 9, NAB arrested former Prime Minister Imran Khan in the premises of Islamabad High Court (IHC) in Al-Qadir Trust corruption case, after which he was produced in the Accountability Court in Police Lines the next day where the court approved his physical remand for eight days.

However, earlier on Thursday Supreme Court declared the arrest of Imran Khan as illegal and ordered his immediate release.

The Supreme Court has ordered Imran Khan to approach the Islamabad High Court again and has said that you will have to accept the decision of the High Court.
