Saudi flight attendant murderer executed
Barakat bin Jibreel Al-Kinani, the murderer of a Saudi flight attendant executed in Makkah.
Jeddah: Ministry of Interior announced on Thursday that the death penalty of Barakat bin Jibreel Al-Kinani, the murderer of Saudi flight attendant Bandar bin Taha Al-Qarhadi, has been executed in Makkah.
Al-Kinani was convicted of the brutal killing of his childhood friend and colleague Bandar Al-Qarhadi, who was handcuffed, doused with gasoline, and set on fire inside his car.
The disturbing incident, captured in a viral video, shocked the Saudi community.
The murder took place following a dispute between Al-Qarhadi and Al-Kinani, with Al-Qarhadi being found handcuffed and burned alive after stopping his car on the side of the road.
Witnesses reported hearing Al-Qarhadi's cries for help and his desperate questions of "What did I do?" and "Am I sweet?"
Despite being rushed to the hospital, Al-Qarhadi succumbed to his severe burn injuries.
The murderer was arrested by security authorities and charged with murder, arson, and drug abuse.
The court upheld the death penalty, emphasizing that Al-Kinani's refusal to assist the victim indicated the depth of his criminal mindset.
The Ministry of Interior stated that Al-Kinani was a drug addict and methamphetamine was found in his possession.
