Maryam Nawaz meets Canadian diplomat
The Canadian High Commissioner praised Maryam Nawaz Sharif's dedication to women's rights during the meeting.
Lahore: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) vice president and chief organiser Maryam Nawaz met Canadian High Commissioner Leslie Scanlon on Wednesday.
Maryam Nawaz Sharif warmly greeted Canadian High Commissioner Leslie Scanlon and expressed her belief in the strong bilateral ties between Pakistan and Canada.
She emphasized the beneficial contributions made by Pakistanis residing in Canada to fostering the relationship between the two nations.
Maryam Nawaz Sharif also mentioned that Shehbaz Sharif, the prime minister, had unveiled a comprehensive plan to address the rights of Pakistanis living abroad.
PMLN chief organiser told the commissioner that special courts had been set up to handle disputes involving the property of Pakistanis living abroad. Maryam emphasized that the present government has passed extensive legislation to safeguard people rights.
Maryam Nawaz also emphasized the necessity of both countries working together in international fora on global issues as well as the significance of promoting bilateral commerce and investment between Pakistan and Canada. She emphasized how important this allusion was.
