Cypher case: Imran's judicial remand extended for 14 days
Imran Khan will be in judicial remand till September 13.
Attock: The judicial remand of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan in cypher case has been extended for 14 days.
According to details, the remand was extended during the hearing in the Attock jail conducted by Judge Abul Hasnat Zulqarnain of Special Court.
Imran Khan will be in judicial remand till September 13. He was produced before the special court judge.
The hearing of cypher case in Attock jail was filed by Federal Investigation Agency (FIA). As soon as the hearing was over, Judge Abul Hasnat left for Islamabad.
During the hearing, strict security measures were observed outside the jail. Troops of Attock Police and Elite Force were deployed around the jail.
Law Ministry allowed hearing in Attock Jail
On the other hand, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf had rejected the decision to transfer the hearing of the cypher case against former Prime Minister Imran Khan in Attock Jail.
Earlier, the Ministry of Law allowed the hearing of the case to be conducted in the jail.
According to the notification issued by the Ministry of Law, the hearing will be held in Attock Jail due to the security concerns of Ministry of Interior.
