'We are people of May 28, not May 9,’ he added.

Dubai: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chairman and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif Saturday said: “I have stated before that I left everything to Allah, still leaving everything to Allah and now going home exonerated”.
Talking to journalists at Dubai Airport, Nawaz Sharif added that today he was going to Pakistan after four years. There are disturbing situations in Pakistan which are worrying. We have made the situation worse and now we have to fix it ourselves.
He continued to say: “The country which had called goodbye International Monetary Fund (IMF) is now suffering from problems”.
Pakistan where load-shedding had ended, medical treatment facilities were available, is it that Pakistan today. If we have to stand on our own feet, we have to be ourselves, no one can do it, the former prime minister added.
Nawaz also said that today the country has moved backwards. In the country, bread was available at economical rates, the children of poor went to school, free treatment facilities were available, is that what Pakistan looks like today.
Regarding the election, the former prime minister further said that Election Commission can decide the election and it is the authorized body. “When the Election Commission gives a date, it will happen. My priority is date given by Election Commission. Today, there is transparent Election Commission, it can make a better decision in this matter,” he continued.
PML-N supremo also added that they are ready for the elections, but the constituencies have yet to be demarcated. After the census, there is a process that takes time. Election Commission will make a better decision.
Nawaz Sharif said: “I am the person who has been to jails, my daughter was neither a minister nor an adviser, yet she was arrested but finally she got a clean chit which she must have got, Shehbaz Sharif and Rana Sanaullah also suffered”.
In response to a question, the former prime minister stated, ‘I said earlier that I have left everything to Allah, I am still leaving it to Allah. Today, I am going home unashamed. We are people of May 28, not May 9’.
