The federal capital witnessed a tense confrontation on Saturday as police and activists from the Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) clashed along Srinagar Highway.
The call for this protest was made by the JI Emir Sirajul Haq who urged the global community to unite and advocate for the rights and safety of the innocent people suffering in Gaza.
Tensions flared as some JI activists began hurling stones at law enforcement officers. In response, the police deployed teargas to disperse the agitated crowd. This clash resulted in minor injuries to a number of protesters who were involved in the confrontation.
