Islamabad: Justice Miangul Hasan Aurangzeb forwarded the case of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder jail trial related to Tosha Khana and Al-Qadir Trust to the Islamabad High Court (IHC) chief justice, requesting the formation of a division bench.
Justice Aurangeb noted that the PTI founder’s appeals have seemingly reached his court by chance. Emphasizing the involvement of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) as a party, he suggested that the division bench should handle the case.
The counsel for PTI founder, Latif Khosa, mentioned that judge Muhammad Bashir handles high profile cases. Justice Miangul then clarified that Bashir was appointed folowing his recommendation.
He noted that the case ought to be forwarded to the chief justice for consideration.
