Under the program, an award of one million dirhams has also been announced.

Dubai: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has announced the elimination of 2,000 official processes in the next one year under the 'Zero Bureaucracy Program' to reduce bureaucratic procedures in the country and facilitate the provision of services to the people.
UAE ministries and federal agencies have been ordered to complete at least 2,000 official procedures within a year and halve the time required for the rest.
In this regard, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Prime Minister and ruler of the UAE, said that the elimination of bureaucracy and the immediate provision of government facilities are the two main pillars of the country's future strategy.
He stated that the purpose of procedures is to make people's lives easier but this bureaucracy becomes the biggest challenge for any government that wants to promote government services.
Under the program, an award of one million dirhams has also been announced for an official or team that has demonstrated outstanding performance in eliminating unnecessary government processes.
