Iranian news anchor stabbed in London
The Metropolitan Police said specialist counter-terrorism officers were investigating the stabbing.
London: An Iranian news channel host was attacked with a knife outside his residence in London.
According to the British media, an Iranian news channel based in London said that the 36-year-old host Pouria Zeraati was targeted by a group outside his house and stabbed multiple times.
Pouria Zeraati’s condition is said to be out of danger, but he is being treated in the hospital, stated foreign media reports.
According to British media, no arrests have been made immediately in this case.
The Metropolitan Police said specialist counter-terrorism officers were investigating the stabbing.
Commander Dominic Murphy, head of the Metropolitan Police's counter-terrorism command unit, said officers were investigating all aspects of the attack.
He says that additional patrol arrangements are being made in the area of South London where the attack took place and other nearby places.
