Pakistani factory owner manufacturing door of Ka'bah dies
His factory used to manufacture the main gates of the Ka'bah made of 200 kg of pure gold
Makkah: Ashiq Hussain, the Pakistani owner of the factory that manufactures the shell of the Black Stone and the main gate of the Ka'bah, has passed away.
Counsel General Khalid Majeed and the Pakistani community have expressed grief over the death of Muhammad Ashiq Hussain.
According to media reports, the late Muhammad Ashiq Hussain's gold factory is established in Saudi Arabia. The factory is honored to manufacture the main door of the Ka'bah, the Mizab-e-Rahmat (the fountain of mercy) and the shell of the Black Stone.
M. Ashiq belonged to Bahawalpur district of Punjab, his father Malik Ghulam Qadir was goldsmith who worked in the palace of Nawab Sadiq Muhammad Abbasi of Bahawalpur.
Muhammad Ashiq was sent to Medina, Saudi Arabia in 1970, later becoming one of the prominent gold traders in Saudi Arabia.
His factory used to manufacture the main gates of the Ka'bah made of 200 kg of pure gold. The factory was also entrusted with the construction and installation of the gates of the Ka'bah.
Moreover, the design and installation of the Mizab-e-Rahmat on the Ka'bah was also done by Ashiq Hussain's factory. Through this fountain, the rainwater reaches the ground from the roof of the Ka'bah.
