17 killed, 34 hurt in Afghanistan bus accident
12 men, two women and three children are among the dead
Kabul: At least 17 people were killed and 34 injured when a bus overturned in northern Afghanistan.
According to the report of the news agency ‘AFP’, the Director of Information and Culture of Baghlan Province, Mustafa Hashmi, said that the accident took place on Tuesday on the highway connecting the capital Kabul with the north of the country.
He said that 12 men, two women and three children are among the dead.
It is pertinent to note that traffic accidents are common in Afghanistan due to bad roads, dangerous driving, and lack of laws after decades of conflict.
In March, 21 people were killed and 38 injured when a bus collided with an oil tanker and a motorcycle in Afghanistan's southern Helmand province.
