American-Pakistani Salman Bhojani has been elected Member of the State Assembly for the second consecutive time
Salman Bhojani, the Democratic candidate for the state assembly in Texas, won.
American-Pakistani Salman Bhojani has been elected Member of the State Assembly for the second consecutive time.
Talking to the media, Salman Bhojani said: “So far I have received about 26,513 votes which are not final, these are preliminary results and the number will increase. The problem in my district is that people do not come out to vote because no work has been done here”.
He stated that South Asians and Pakistanis are only one percent in his district. He is working on four projects that include health, education, economy, and religious freedom and will continue working on them.
Earlier, Salman Bhojani had also demanded a ceasefire in Gaza from the governor.
Sulaiman Lalani, a candidate for the Texas state assembly on the Democrat ticket, is also a strong candidate.
Apart from this, Ayesha Farooqui is a candidate in Michigan, Aamir Sultan on a Republican ticket in New York, and Maryam Sabih on a Democrat ticket in Pennsylvania.
According to American media reports, Erin Bashir, the only candidate for Congress, is competing in Pennsylvania.
